Who is authorized to perform the repairs and where

October 24th, 2009

There are several challenges you may face when buying either a new or used car.  It depends on the model that you need, how much is the budget, the dimensions of your folks and the options that go with it.

If you’ve got an idea on the right auto, then a little research on the value of the car in the market to date will be ready to help the you when approaching a dealer.

This can be done by checking the Net or looking through the local newspaper before going to the diverse dealers in the area to make comparisons.

If the ideal car isn’t available on the lot, the if you tell the dealer about it these people can help by looking for that particular model or offer a similar auto similar to your choice.

Since dealers frequently wish to get rid of the cars quickly, it is also possible to get a fair deal on what is available as long as it meets your necessities.

Most cars have a upkeep record.  The buyer must ask the dealer to see it and if it isn’t available, then you must contact the agency or correct shop where the majority of the work was done.

the purchaser has the right to see a copy of the dealer’s warranty.  To be safe, you may ask if a service contract is provided in purchasing the used car.  This contract that is offered by the dealer may or may not provide coverage that is in the manufacturer’s warranty that might cost extra.

Since the guaranty usually comes when purchasing an auto and the service contract does not, it is best to ask if you need to avail of by answering some questions ;

What are the variations between the coverage of the warranty and the service contract?
What repairs are covered?
Is routine maintenance covered?
Who will pay for labor and parts if brought to the shop?
Who is authorized to perform the repairs and where?
How long does the service contract last?
What are the cancellation and refund policies?

Just looking at the vehicle will not give information if the vehicle is in good condition.  It should be test driven under various road conditions such as the road or in traffic.

Since most of the people aren’t that knowledgeable about automobiles, it is recommended to bring the car to a trustworthy mechanic for proper inspection.

cars for sale & fuel economy cars

July 23rd, 2009

Now why don’t we consider the topic of used car prices. New cars or used cars, which are the better deal? Keep in mind that a shiny new car loses value the second the tires touch the pavement outside the car lot.  Now that question is an easy one. Since a car is a depreciating asset, meaning in general cars lose value with time, the best money decision is to purchase the car when it will tend to lose less value. That of course combines with the concern over the state when a car needs less maintenance. The slightly used car is about the best for both concern. The value has already dropped from new car state. Someone else got robbed by that decrease. The car likely won’t need constant repair work, and the warranty is still probably valid.

Continuing the discussion about used honda cars : Many sources provide these slightly used cars.  Dealerships take in trade-ins from customers who purchase or lease new vehicles. Those cars than have to be sold. eBay has a whole division dedicated to used cars, while specialty companies such as Carmax list thousands of them. In America there are car auctions every weekend. These include police auctions of impounded vehicles as well as dealer auctions that might involve, for example, cars purchased from car rental companies.

When dealing with used cars one will also want to consider fuel consumption and Kelly Blue Book is a valuable resource to determine the relative fair price of a used car. Categories include make, model, year and condition from poor to excellent. It also breaks down the prices between dealer sales and private sales. Dealers have overhead private sellers don’t have so that is important.

Have you considered financing? Think about saving up the pennies and making a cash purchase.  No matter how low the monthly payments or interest rate, paying cash is better. Sure, people like the fancy models. But bells and whistles can cost a lot of money. Buying a car like that used can not only help the budget, but creates less stress. People who own the luxury cars worry more about them. Many used car owners take pride in their cars, but don’t worry over a ding or two.

Sure cars are a status symbol, but wealth isn’t based on what you spend. Wise spending turns into wealth. Most rich people get that way by saving money. Saving money on a used car can be one step to being wealthy.
